Tour Description
After departing from Perth's Crown Hotel & Casino complex or your Perth CBD accommodation at around 8am, the tour leaves the city limits heading towards the Swan Valley to arrive at Caversham Wildlife Park. Howe to a vast array of native wildlife, at Caversham you will enjoy the opportunity of hand feeding the friendly kangaroos and getting up close to the cuddly koalas.
Enjoy the peaceful drive through the unique Western Australian landscape, dotted with wildflowers (seasonal), sometimes spotting grazing kangaroos and emus, before arriving for lunch at the Lobster Shack in Cervantes for lunch. Enjoy a delightful Fish & Chips lunch, or upgrade to a succulent Lobster Lunch (pre-booked only) before an informative tour that highlights the fascinating WA rock lobster industry.
Arrival at the nearby Nambung National Park will take you into the spectacular Pinnacles Desert, where thousands of limestone pillars rise in fascinating formations from within the shifting sands. Covering more than 400 hectares, this extraordinary desert showcases pinnacles up to 5 metres in height that were formed more than 25 000 years ago. Your guide will take you on a relaxed walking tour amid a range of unique flora and fauna to enjoy the astonishing sight of the Pinnacles; a boon for adventurers and photographers alike.
As the desert begins to cool you will travel back towards Perth via Lancelin, a delightful fishing and tourist destination nestled between a large sheltered bay and 2 kilometres of pristine white sand dunes. The towering dunes are where you'll enjoy the thrilling adventure of 4 wheel driving, zooming across the pure white crests, in view of the Indian Ocean. With the opportunity for trying your skill at sandboarding as well. If travelling in Winter, you may be lucky enough to experience the spectacular sunsets that this coastline is famous for as you head back to your original Perth pick-up point at around 7:30pm.
Please note: This tour is not suitable for pregnant women, infants, or for those with back problems. The tour may operate in reverse, depending on numbers. Soft sand at the dunes may cause delays.
